Product Usages

When your wood has obvious problems of peeling, flaking, or the grooves are full of gunge, there is no point in applying more deck stain etc because it will be a waste of money - it too will peel and flake off. Start fresh, get rid of all the old gunge with Prepdeck, neutralise with Net-trol and when dry, your wood is ready to be re treated. When you have cleaned the wood, consider applying a top quality deep penetrating oil / stain like Textrol - cheaper in the long run.

    Coverage:

Undiluted up to 4 m2 per litre (400 sq ft +/-)

You may be able to use it diluted up to 4 parts water.

General Instruction

Perhaps you’ve had somebody apply the wrong coating, or wrong colour, or it’s peeling off etc?

Don’t worry, because you can fix that problem with PREPDECK.

PREPDECK is a very powerful stripper cleaner specifically designed to remove coatings such as deck oil, stains etc.

PREPDECK will also restore the colour to faded wood.

Note:

After heavy cleaning of wood with Prepdeck, neutralize wood with Net-Trol after rinsing, and allow to dry over 3 to 4 days prior to re-treatment with Textrol

[Do not use Net-Trol if finishing with Tropitech]

If you are not sure about what if any previous coating is still present
on the wood, you can do a simple test.

Place a few drops of water in various areas of the wood and wait about
20 minutes to see if the drops soak in or if they remain on the surface.

If the water soaks in, you can probably bring back the original look of
the wood with Net-Trol instead.

If the water does not absorb into the wood, it suggests that a coating
such as a decking oil etc is still present and you need Prepdeck to
remove that.
