Insulating Paint Additive,Cuts Heat Loss, Stops Mould

Thermilate Insulating Paint Additive Reduces Heat Loss in Your Home or Property through INTERNAL, EXTERNAL WALLS  CEILINGS

Having been featured on several TV programmes such as BBC'S TOMORROW'S WORLD, Changing Room, THERMILATE, the revolutionary, durable paint additive that makes paint insulate is now available to home owners, maintenance  painting contractors.

This very practical product can be added to virtually any kind of paint… from interior emulsion, exterior masonry paint, gloss paint on steel, you name it. In all cases, it will reduce heat loss out through the substrate.

AND… it also works the other way around, if you wanted to keep heat inside pipes, hot water tank etc, the Thermilate additive reduces heat loss when 2 or 3 coats of treated paint are applied to the pipe etc.The two images on the right aboveshows Thermilate used in oil based paint on inside of a steel barge to stop / reduce condensation on the steel walls.

    Steel Roof Condensation

Another handy application we have been told about which gets excellent results was where condensation occurs on underside of a steel roof, also known as steel roof condensation such as commonly found on corrugated steel, sheds / workshops, steel containers  so on. In this scenario, the handiest option is add the Thermilate to any appropriate paint and apply a coat or better still two coats.

Idea is to apply 2 or 3 coats of any oil based paint with one bottle of Thermilate per 5 Litres of paint.

    MAIN BENEFITS

Saves on heating bills because less heat / energy will be required for the same results.

Reduces or eliminates mould on 'cold walls' etc

Helps reduce condensation / damp wall problems

" I used Thermilate in 2 bedrooms, where I always had a condensation problem. We’d tried cleaning it off on a number of occasions, and tried lots of other things to get rid of it. But it would always come back.  We applied Thermilate in both rooms. We really cannot believe Thermilate has completely eliminated the condensation. It also came with an added benefit, the room is now a lot warmer. I have a similar problem in my lounge, which is quite large, and we will be buying some more to use there too. I really would recommend Thermilate to anyone."

"I used Thermilate in my living room, and was astonished to find the wall was actually warmer to the touch, just a day after the paint was applied. The room is now warmer. I will be buying it again, to use in my front room too."

My house was too hot! I have southern exposure across the back and a low pitched roof. Even when the temperature is below freezing, if the sun is out, my living room could easily get up to 80 degrees, and 90 or more during the summer. Because I needed to repaint the room and ceiling, I put Thermilate in the paint. I figured at the very least, it didn't cost much and might help although frankly I was not optimistic. So it was a nice surprise to find the room was approximately 8 to 10 degrees cooler. And the difference in the rooms comfort level was amazing! Anyway, thank you, thank you, and thank you! I will write back when I get around to painting our basement which is way too cold and tell you how that works too! Thanks again

"I first purchased Thermilate for my son’s house. He lives in Deeside Aboyne a very cold part of the country, his heating costs were very high, and his house was always cold. We applied 2 coats on the inside of the house, to all his external walls. His house is now unbelievably so much warmer, superbly more comfortable, Thermilate has helped with energy saving, and of course cost saving. Once we saw the benefits of Thermilate, we purchased more Thermilate to use in my daughters house – attic, as she can’t have any insulation there. The wall actually felt amazingly warmer just a couple of days later.......... previously there was a definite chill in the attic, and now it is actually warmer. I found that the Thermilate also made the paint go further......We are all very very impressed with the product, it really is amazing."

We purchased your thermilate paint additive because we have a spare bedroom that our granddaughter uses at weekends and even with central heating we have always found the room to be cold as it has two 'outside' walls.  We used your product on the two walls when we decorated and then papered over one of the  walls.  We have found that the wall that was papered over is warm to the touch but the wall we just painted is not as successful.  I have mentioned to my husband that if we have enough paper we are going to do the wall again.  We think your product is very good.  Our house was built in 1918 and we have now found a couple of damp patches downstairs in the dining room and we will be treating these areas this winter when we decorate. Yours sincerely

I purchased the Thermilate granules to use in my parents Holiday Chalet.  This is a cold enviroment in general. However, the walls no longer have the usual cold/damp feel to them they had before using the paint additive.  We found it very easy to use and it left a very nice finish to the walls & ceilings.  When the heating is turned on, the Chalet does warm up a lot faster.   We are going to use it on the exterior next year to increase the benefits. Kind regards

“I used it in an extension and the effect of the extra heat was very noticeable”

By Kevin Flynn Home Owner, Thermilate Insulating Paint Additive

“I used the Thermilate powder in 2 locations but one was my rented-out house so cannot give feedback on thermal results. The second location was a very damp bathroom with a north facing wall. I spoke to the manager of Brewers in Tunbridge Wells where I have an account. We decided I should mix the powder with a water-based eggshell so that the surface could not absorb any moisture to grow mould in (a very mouldy bathroom,by the way). The ceiling had 2 coats and was 100% successful. The walls only got one coat and after about 1 year the mould is breaking through and I'm about to clean that off and put the second coat on. I am talking about an extreme environment here! Colour: Whilst the powder looks like it will affect the paint shade, it does not. If it does, it's by an infinitely small amount. Mixing: It mixed with the two types of paint I used very well and stays bound in the paint whilst you are using it. Application: The second coat is a bit hard going, feeling like a cross between painting and plastering but for most fit decorators, I doubt they would notice that much. The benefits far outweigh this though. I would use it in problem areas again but in future will be working on buildings where I can control the vapour permeabilty of the walls and so would be keen to hear from you if any work has been done on whether this type of paint/powder is vapour permeable or not.” Best wishes

I used the product internally but only on outside walls of a house where it would have been expensive and difficult to do any other insulation. I used the powder in a tempera (velvet finish) paint which covers imperfections very well. The colours were strong colours. The powder was very easy to mix into the paint.
The powder didn't noticeably change the colour or the finish of the paint when dry. There is a noticable difference to the touch of the temperature of the wall and on one particularly cold wall it stopped a draft coming down the wall. Having said this it is hard to put any numbers to the temperature of the rooms where it has been applied or to any saving in money but I would say that the rooms are more comfortable and I have been showing the product off to friends. I would just like to leave my comments about an amazing product that does exactly what it says it says on the packet...INSULATES! The paint additive, Thermalite, really does work. I live in an old stone cottage on top of a hill (very, very windy and stormy). Over the years my husband and I have dry-lined our cottage but there was a north facing wall in the kitchen which we never got round to doing so we decided to try Thermalite instead. The difference in the heat that is retained in my kitchen now is very noticeable. Even on a mild day the kitchen used to feel quite cool. Not any more. It just feels so cosy. We are so impressed by this product that we are ordering more! I can't recommend it enough and it certainly deserves a 5 star rating.
