"I had to treat an iroco rudder on my boat and heard that the deks olje d1 might do the trick. I applied 8 coats of the d1 wet on wet to saturate the wood. Turned out a great job. Very pleased with it."

"I've used many different loosening oils over the years and so far I have not come across anything that works like the Transyl. On one trailer where the wheel nuts were not touched in over five years, I tried **** (well known brand) which I've been using for years on one of the wheels, left it soaking and still didn't budge the nuts. I applied the transyl on all the other wheels, left them a few hours and when I came back they came off with no effort whatsoever.. I was amazed. I'll certainly be using that from now on, thanks for a great product"

By Jim O'Connell Haulage, Limerick, Transyl

"I used Transyl for the first time to clean and lubricate my guns recently after being told about it by a friend in the club and I was amazed at the result. I dis-assembled the main parts and soaked them in the Transyl, then wiped them off and reassembled them again. The result on the bolt was superb, click click click, so smooth, the best I've ever seen. A super product. One thing though, I wouldn't use it on the outside of barrel finish as it could damage the bluing, but otherwise Transyl is a winner and I'll be using that from now on"

By Pat Finegan (Twice All Ireland Champion Small Bore Rifles)., Transyl

"I used the Transyl for lots of different things and found it to be better than anything I ever used before. For instance, the steel blades on my saw bench can get rusty from moisture in the air and it keeps them in great order between jobs. I've also used it on my pillar drill and the garden rotavator to keep it them in good shape. I wouldnt use anything else now".

    By Edward Collins, Galway, Transyl

"Used Transyl on vintage tractors and it is an excellent product for loosening all kinds of tight bolts and so on. I'd recommend it highly"

I used to have a freezing hallway with a large exterior wall down the side-constant black mould, freezing wall. Used Warmcoat - no more condensation.I touched the wall after using Warmcoat  -the wall wasn't cold any more. I wish I had known about Warmcoat years ago.. I would not have had to constantly redecorate. You can quote that whole e-mail Brendan.Thanks.Robert.

"I have an old finger mower that I bought a few years ago and it was out in the weather for a few years. the blades were totally seized up and I tried several well known spray oils to free the blades but nothing worked. On the internet I came across an oil I never heard of before called transyl and ordered some online from igoe. I sprayed some oil along the blades before going to bed to give it a good chance. Next morning I was amazed to discover that everything was free again, the blades moved perfectly and with no effort. I will certainly be telling my mates about this, an amazing product"

"I have corrugated steel sheds that had some rust on the 'hills'. After contacting igoe they recommended to apply owatrol oil directly to the rusted 'hills' and leave it a day or two and then add about 15% to the oxide paint. That I did and the job turned out first class. I have some owatrol left over which I intend to use on my 1970 MGB"

We had large contract that involved stripping the paint off around 50 large sash windows with decades of paint on them. It would have taken forever to sand or strip them so I took a chance and decided to buy a cobra paint stripper. I have to say, it worked a treat. Very easy to use, didnt burn the timber and very fast results. A good buy"

    By Dermot Dineen, Kerry

"We saw this machine on the internet, looked impressive. There was none in the country so we took a chance and ordered one from igoe international. I have to say the lads are delighted with it. Easy to carry up stairs, move around and is very responsive. A winner for sure"

"I have an imprinted concrete paving area at the front of my house which was put there 12 years ago and it had become dull, faded, little pieces peeling off and so on. I checked around in various shops to see if they had any solution and the best advice I got from one paint store was to phone igoe in dublin because they do a lot of specialist things. I phoned, got through to the boss himself who took the time to explain exactly what to do. He suggested to thoroughly clean the area and let it dry, then use an exterior acrylic water based masonry paint with 50% Owatrol eb in the first coat and a second coat of the paint by itself. I bought 5l of the acrylic paint and 2.5l of eb. I have to say that the job turned out far ahead of my expectations. The shop tinted the paint to match the red brick on the front of the house and it went on like a dream I am absolutely thrilled with it and the advice I received at igoe."

"I have an old finger mower that was left in a field for about 25 years and the fingers were totally seized, wouldnt budge. I sprayed various other well known sprays on them before and they did nothing so this was a last resort. I sprayed on transyl one evening and left it there overnight. Next day I checked and I was amazed to find that the fingers and blade were completely freed out. I've been singing its praises ever since"

"We used it on huge chimneys on an old landlords house which were letting in water and we could not find the source of the problem. 2 coats of BKK did the trick, no more water came in. A good product."

"I bought a hero from igoe int about 12 years ago and we recently need a bigger sprayer for a big contract where we needed a more powerful rig. We settled on the AIR031 which is a beast. It did what we wanted in no time at all and is so easy to use. I'd definately recommend it"

"We were working on a large victorian house in Dublin and there was a tremendous amount of old paint to be removed from window sashes, window shutters etc. Doing it by hand we would be there forever and chemicals were too messy. We took a chance on a cobra electric paint remover and we are very pleased with it. Fast and easy to use, glad we bought it"

"A fellow Fingal club member told me about the Transyl which I never heard about before and he recommended it highly for loosening seized bolts, studs and so on so I got some and I have to say, he was right, it is a first class product. Sean Connell.

By Patrick Heaney Screeding Contractor , Omagh, N Ireland

I promised that I would get back to you to tell you how I got on with the transyl spray. Well I have to say that it worked well above my expectations. I used it first on seized up screws on the bottom of a hardi knapsack sprayer which is about forty years old which I wanted to restore. I had already tried to open the screws to no avail and worse still on one of the screws the head broke off leaving only a tiny stump visible. I sprayed on transyl and left it overnight. Next morning, I used a visegrip on the stump and it came right out effortlessly, the same screw that the head broke off the day before it was so tight. All the other screws also came out with no effort. No doubt about it transyl is powerful stuff. I have been telling everybody about it since.

    By Leo Lyons, Roscommon

"I use the Transyl all the time for loosening tight bolts, brake callipers, ables etc. It might not be well known but to my mind there's nothing to touch it. Wouldnt use anything else now"

    By Vintage Enthusiast, Galway

“I used Transyl to free out seized bolts on the bottom of a Hardi knapsack sprayer that I bought 23 years ago. I needed to replace part of the pump which was held in by those bolts. The bolts were rusted solid and the heads were small and I couldn’t get a proper grip to get them off and I was afraid they would snap.
I sprayed the Transyl on and left them a couple of hours and then got a small vice grips and they came out like no problem… unbelievable”
“I replaced the pump part and corroded bolts with stainless Steel ones and now its working like new again. I’ll be telling everybody about it and that’s for sure".

“We came across Owatrol oil after using Deks Olje D1 a sister product on hardwoods. Now I keep my 69 Wolsey Hornet rust free with Owatrol. Unbeatable I’d say.”

By Bonmahon Joinery restored a 69 Wolseley Hornet, Owatrol Oil Rust

"I agonised a long time over the finish but settled on Deks Olje, a synthetic oil. I knew that my boat Grebe was not going to spend very long in the water at a time, so perhaps the finish would not be too critical. Also, at home she was to live in the garage in the same space that she was constructed (sorry, car #2) and so would not be exposed to the elements. I've been very happy with the decision. Coating with Deks Olje is very easy (though it can take a couple of days to dry properly in cold weather). In particular, touching up scratches is almost ridiculously simple - a light sand and a dab of the oil with a cloth or cheap brush and you can't detect where it's been done."

“Just to let you know how unbelievably pleased I was with the Net-trol I bought yesterday. The previous cleaner I tried (name withheld) I had to scrub in with wire wool and this met with only limited success. I applied the Net-Trol to the worst areas neat and watched the black marks dissolve before my eyes. On other areas I used a diluted 1:1 mix with equally spectacular results. Even though it is recommended to leave it for 20-30 minutes the marks were gone in 5 ! I don't think the deck was this clean when I first laid it. Whenever you see those before and after pictures on a product like this I tend to disbelieve them but in this case, the product really was that good. I have already recommended it to 3 of my friends."

By Andy Stone – Home Owner, Net-Trol

The overall result was very impressive.  Both products were easy to use & clear instructions were given. We would certainly use them again."

“Owatrol is unquestionably one of the best products out there for rust.

I keep my sheds right with Owatrol oil and oxide paint. Any bad spots I treat with the oil first using an ordinary sweeping brush, especially around the nail holes on the corrugated sheets. Later I mix the oil into the oxide about 20% mix and it lasts for years. My neighbours are now using it as well.”

“I am fanatical about Owatrol Oil and use it in many different ways. Recently I applied an oil based matt black paint to the mortar lines in all the brickwork with 30% Owatrol in the paint, it did a massive job, soaked in like water on paper”

"It made the paint stick much better and did a great job on the rust. I did one shed 4 years ago exactly and when I climbed up on the roof to look at it recently with a view to re painting it again I discovered that it was practically the same as the day I last painted it."

By T Normanley Farmer, Owatrol Oil General

“All of the canal boat painters I have chatted to have recommended a product called Owatrol oil. I think this is amazing stuff since it can be applied to a rusty surface to kill the spread of the rust and drive out any lingering water or you can add it to any oil based paint or varnish to improve rust resistance whilst at the same time making the paint easier to apply.”

By Brian Malyon Narrow Boat Owner, Owatrol Oil General

We found the Cleaner very efficient, it brought the cedar shingle roof back to life and the Finishing Oil gave it back it’s depth & protection. The overall result was very impressive.  Both products were easy to use & clear instructions were given. We would certainly use them again."

“Our  house was built in 1830, thick solid walls, was hard to heat, and had a fair bit of mould on some walls that was impossible to get rid of. We bought 11 cans and have used it in nearly all rooms. We have seen no mould since. One north facing sitting room was nearly always cold & you would not sit in it without a heater, now its much cosier. That’s the acid test. A great product”

"I would just like to leave my comments about an amazing product that does exactly what it says it says on the packet...INSULATES! The paint additive, Thermalite, really does work. I live in an old stone cottage on top of a hill (very, very windy and stormy). Over the years my husband and I have dry-lined our cottage but there was a north facing wall in the kitchen which we never got round to doing so we decided to try Thermalite instead. The difference in the heat that is retained in my kitchen now is very noticeable. Even on a mild day the kitchen used to feel quite cool. Not any more. It just feels so cosy. We are so impressed by this product that we are ordering more! I can't recommend it enough and it certainly deserves a 5 star rating."

“Owatrol Oil is one product I will not be without in my van. It is superb for rust, peeling paint and general paint finish, I use it all the time”

By B Bunting Painter Decorator Co Down , Owatrol Oil General

Note that I am not a professional painter, but I needed to repaint some fitted bedroom furniture. The doors were of a very smooth two colour melamine finish which I wanted to repaint white. The last thing I wanted was to spend ages doing the job and the paint not keying properly. That was when I came across a reference to your product ESP. Having details from you of the stockist in my area I purchased a tin of the new formula ESP and also used a white satin finish paint. The application of the ESP was simplicity itself, and I followed it with 3 coats of the paint using a small roller.   The results have been excellent and the furniture is looking really great, even having compliments from a professional painter and decorator who took note of the product name.

    Hope this helps, Sincerely

By Roger Davies Home Owner, ESP

I received my ESP today...thank you very much. I am a Professional Housekeeper, but, also a bit of an artist.   As a side line I paint furniture with wonderful designs. I have a client that has the UGLIEST metal cabinets in their office. I mentioned to them that I could paint these (and put wonderful designs on them). Before your product, I would have used spray paint as a base, and, then worked from that. I don't like spray paint. It doesn't spray evenly, it spots and, generally drives my out of my mind. Now, I'm going to use ESP as my base product for all future jobs, and, then just start painting. I can use regular emulsion paint and then, whatever design the person wants. As an artist, I can tell you that it's much easier to paint on emulsions than spray paint.   I can control my brush strokes, the colour stays true and, my end result will please me (and buyer) even more. I believe in your product.   It saved my kitchen cabinets, it has made my life as an artist easier. Thank you

"I have an older home, and, my kitchen cabinets are nasty cheap chipboard with a laminate overlay and they were a dark brown. I got a quote to replace them and it was thousands. Then I got a quote for refacing.....still cost prohibitive.

I had thought about painting them, but, knew I couldn't get the paint to adhere well enough to allow for constantly cleaning the cabinets. Then, I found your product. I thought it was worth a try. Brilliant!!!!   I applied ESP, then a base coat, then a semi gloss finish. The kitchen looks brand new, cleans beautifully and I am thrilled. Thank you for this product."

Got ESP Primer from Coolmine Decor recently.Doing a lot of decorating around the house at the moment and found it very helpful and labour saving not having to sand and undercoat when putting white over white on skirting boards and architrave etc. Found it a clean, easy to use, low-odour product and I would definitely recommend it.

2 years ago a friend told me of Owatrol Oil and what it did for his tractor and I could not believe the difference it made to it. So we both decided that this year we would treat our sheds with it because I know my one was getting bad and I did not think I would get many more seasons out of it. The idea of replacing the shed after the hit I got over the last year or so was scary.

Now I think I will get a minimum of 6 or 7 more years out of my shead after the treating it. And I could get more!

Thank you so much guys for all your help and advice.

One wall in the small bedroom was always wet and mouldy in cold weather and now it’s totally dry. That room in particular was always freezing and now it is so comfortable. We’ve now done all the other bedrooms and the hall stairs and landing which we papered over with your Thermilate Warmcoat and the difference is amazing. Our gas fired heating burner (Ideal classic) has markings of 1 to 6 and we used to have it set at 5 switched on most of the day. Now it is down to 2 and the house is much warmer than it used to be. I wish we had done this years ago when we moved in. I’d recommend it to anybody. We’re delighted with it

By Mrs Trish Pearson Home Owner Dublin 22, Warmcoat

“I promised I'd let you know how I got on with the paint. I’m thrilled to bits the way my bedroom has turned out after using the Thermilate paint. The walls used to be damp to the touch and mouldy, and it was very hard to get a proper nights sleep, I was wheezy etc. I put on two coats on the walls and ceiling and the difference is unbelievable. The room is much warmer & drier, the musty smell is gone and I’m breathing and sleeping much better now. My daughter is getting her house done with it in the next few weeks. It has made such a difference to me. Thanks a million for such a great product. I’ve been telling everybody about it since

"I tend to be very sceptical about many of those new so-called miracle products. I was wary about this too, but a friend of mine whose opinion I would respect told me that he had used Thermilate Warmcoat to great effect so I decided to give it a try in the box bedroom which tends to be quite cold. I have to say I was amazed at the difference in the room temperature. Much cosier and I even had to turn down the rad because the room was getting too warm on the previous setting. No doubt about it, this Thermilate Warmcoat works. I will certainly be using Warmcoat on all future paint jobs around the house.

"My office reception was never insulated and consequently the staff was constantly complaining of the cold despite there being a large radiator heating this room. Late last Spring I applied three coats of Warmcoat followed by a standard emulsion paint. The staff now wants the heat turned down as they now feel the office is too warm!
A wonderful product and I have no hesitation in recommending it."

"We have used the Warmcoat all over our home and it is absolutely amazing. Our neighbours were so impressed that they have used it also. There is no way we would go back to how it used to be. Our radiator usage as well as heating bills has been cut and the place is much cosier than before. I'd highly recommend it to anybody. It’s a very cheap answer to a cold house"

By Barry Mullan Home Owner Dublin 24, Warmcoat

"I collected the Warmcoat two weeks ago and I must say the room (the main living room) which we applied it in has never felt as warm in the thirteen years we have lived in the house.
This is amazing considering we only applied two coats to the two exterior facing walls. Our house is about 65 years old and has no interior stud work, all the walls are solid. As you can imagine it can be very hard to heat and even harder to hold the heat in.
This weekend we are taking on the box bedroom, this is by far the coldest room in the house and a great test for Warmcoat. The room also has some condensation / mould.
If this room is a success I will be applying two coats to all exterior facing walls in the house. I will let you know how it goes."

By Gerry McCarthy Home Owner Dublin 22, Warmcoat

"I bought and used Warmcoat for one particular bedroom. While I was initially sceptical, I decided to take a chance on it anyway as it wasn't too expensive.
To prove it to myself I placed a thermometer in the room for a month before painting it. After I applied the Warmcoat I placed the thermometer back in the room again for another month.
To my surprise I discovered that without changing any heating settings or rad, it showed an extra 3 degrees temperature on average in that same room. I am very happy with it and tell all my friends now!"

"Dear Brendan It is a while since I contacted you last. I have applied 3 coats of Warmcoat to three outside walls and finished them with the appropriate colour. The bathrooms and kitchen passage are very much warmer - there is not that 'cold wall' which used to meet one on entering the room or passage. In addition condensation has been completely stopped. Even the cold and condensation on the outside door in the kitchen has been completely solved. I have recommended Warmcoat to a number of friends and colleagues and they have been amazed at the difference in wall temperature it has made. Warmcoat is quite expensive but well done on marketing the product and I wish you continued success with it. God bless"

Some of the clients brought the boats back for refinishing every few years and it looked to be working well. Simple to apply...we used a Weed Sprayer, then drained out the excess and put it back into the sprayer for the next boat. "I restore old cars and I recall the first time I used the Owatrol. I had a 67 Cortina soda blasted completely. I was not in a position to do further work on the car so I sprayed it completely with a coat of Owatrol oil. After six months, there was not a speck of rust. I sprayed it with a coat of Owatro CIP as a barrier coat before the cellulose primer and top coats"

"Hi Brendan, I was talking to you a few years ago about the Owatrol for sealing metal prior to painting. I did buy it in Woodies and I am pleased to say that it was a great success. We have a lot of wrought iron on windows and around the patio areas of our apartment in Spain. Being quite close to the sea, it rusted every year which was a right nuisance. I told you that I would try the Owatrol to see if would lighten this painting burden and it did. I mentioned that I could not give a judgement until three years had passed. It is fine now after that time and we are delighted. Many thanks and best regards. Michael Confrey. P.S. I didn't emphasise also the fact that there is very much a sun factor in Spain, besides the sea air!!!

Thermilate was extremely easy to use, the instructions were very clear, I simply poured it into the paint and stirred. It seemed to have cured the problem, and it actually had a fantastic added benefit for me. I decided to measure the temperature difference in the room, and to my amazement, I found that previously the average temperature in the room was 15c and now it is actually 18c, this was throughout the winter season.
At the moment I'm just finding time to redecorate, so I can use it in the other rooms in the house too, and make the most of the heat savings. Thermilate helped save 3 degrees;  it truly is a fantastic product."

"I used Thermilate in my loft which we use as a study. When my wife first bought the product, I was quite dubious as to whether it would actually work????...... Was it just another one of those products, which just sounds wonderful, but doesn't do what it says????  So I decided to use it in just the one room, to see if it would really work..... I really was astonished...previously the thermostat was on 19-20c now with the help of Thermilate we have reduced it to 17c. A 2-3c saving. Previously we had to make sure the door was always closed, otherwise the chill from the room would freeze the whole house, and now we can actually leave the door open!!  I really am surprised the product has worked, and helped save heating costs. I will be painting the other rooms in the house, so I can make the most of the energy savings.”

    By Thomas C, Thermilate Additive

"Over the last three years we have been renovating an old house in Mid-West France. Our intention initially, was to use Thermilate in two of the old bedrooms as they felt "cold". Well we are now totally "hooked" and intend to use it in all of the rooms in the house. I was a little concerned about the texture of the product when it was first applied but the top coat of emulsion soon smoothes it out. I had the mis-fortune of having to put the top coat of emulsion over the Thermilate in a small walk-in wardrobe whilst my husband was painting the main room. The heat reflecting properties soon made me think I was in a sauna! The more rooms we use Thermilate in, the warmer our house becomes, and it is good value when you consider the cost of heating. This is a product that does what the packet says... an excellent product."

"On renovating my son's bungalow, first we installed D.I.Y electric central heating mats over the concrete floors.  Each room having its own thermostat and timer. By now (late September), we had painted the first bedroom with Thermilate this was reading 27C. The second bedroom without Thermilate was 24C. The temperature difference is remarkable. I have now ordered more Thermilate for my own house to lower fuel costs.

    Dear Sir
We are writing to tell you how pleased I am with Thermilate and to say thank you for making my sunroom a Comfort to be in.
We have a sunroom with brick walls the sunroom used to feel like an ice box and the walls were always cold.
The solutions we were offered were expensive and disruptive and then we read about Thermilate and decided to give it a try.
We painted one wall to see how well it worked to our amazement the wall felt warmer as soon as the paint dried.
Well needless to say we now have a fully insulated sunroom which is now nice and warm and no longer feels cold.
Never thought our insulation problem could be solved so easy and simply. Its just so simple that I am amazed. We are so pleased we look forward to using Thermilate in the rest of the house. Please forward details of other new Thermilate products

"Thermilate was used in the back bedroom, for reducing condensation.
I used a few different types of paints designed specifically for preventing condensation, but they never worked, and the condensation always came back. However, a year later, and unbelievable,  no condensation plus the average temperature in the room before I painted was 16c, and after applying Thermilate is 19-20c. One of my friends has a similar problem with condensation, and I advised him to use Thermilate. He has recently painted it too. We are all very very pleased with the results, I am sure he will be too."

"My lounge always had this uncomfortable chill, and a large amount of heating was required in order to keep the room warm. I painted 2 coats in the lounge, many months ago with the hope it would help with the heating costs. To our excitement, the temperature in the room is now 4 degrees higher, which means I don't need to use as much heating as before. A saving of 4 degrees is really much more than I expected, and it actually made the paint go further.........Thermilate has certainly exceeded my expectations......."

"I first purchased Thermilate for my son’s house. He lives in Deeside Aboyne a very cold part of the country, his heating costs were very high, and his house was always cold. We applied 2 coats on the inside of the house, to all his external walls. His house is now unbelievably so much warmer, superbly more comfortable, Thermilate has helped with energy saving, and of course cost saving. Once we saw the benefits of Thermilate, we purchased more Thermilate to use in my daughters house – attic, as she can’t have any insulation there. The wall actually felt amazingly warmer just a couple of days later.......... previously there was a definite chill in the attic, and now it is actually warmer. I found that the Thermilate also made the paint go further......We are all very very impressed with the product, it really is amazing."

"I foster 6 children together with my mum. We've always had a problem with damp caused by condensation, in the hallway...... I'd tried allsorts of products to prevent the condensation coming back. I'd used a paint designed specially for preventing condensation, tried tinfoil before wallpapering, and all sorts of other products. It was important for me to get rid of the condensation because of the children. I then used Thermilate. I used 2 coats in the hallway, nearly a year ago and the condensation has not come back. I then used it in my kitchen where I had a similar problem, I used 2 coats, again it has not come back. I can't believe it, fantastic product, fantastic idea. I absolutely love the product."

" I used Thermilate in 2 bedrooms, where I always had a condensation problem. We’d tried cleaning it off on a number of occasions, and tried lots of other things to get rid of it. But it would always come back.  We applied Thermilate in both rooms. We really cannot believe Thermilate has completely eliminated the condensation. It also came with an added benefit, the room is now a lot warmer. I have a similar problem in my lounge, which is quite large, and we will be buying some more to use there too. I really would recommend Thermilate to anyone."

I'm very pleased that it has done the job. I found the instructions and applying Thermilate very easy and I will be using Thermilate again."

Comments: I am just a regular homeowner of a 1901 late Victorian. In the stairway going to the finished attic, there is not enough headroom for any kind of insulation. I gave the ceiling and walls 2 coats of paint with Thermilate, and the difference is really phenomenal. Thanks for making such a useful and affordable product. I've ordered 5 more containers and can't wait to start painting more!

"I have no central heating in my house, so in the winter, as soon as I left the lounge the house was always absolutely freezing, as this is the only room with a gas fire or any method of heating.  The bathroom was particularly cold, and also had trouble with condensation.  I saw Thermilate, and thought I'd give it a try. I decided to buy it, because it has been developed in association with NASA, and has been tested by many other independent organisations. I thought I’d give it a try, nothing to lose. I can certainly tell you I am very very happy with the results…nearly a year later and still no condensation in the bathroom, and the best thing is my house at last actually feels unbelievably warmer throughout the winter, (I could actually leave the lounge).  I haven't measured the exact temperature, I don't need to, it’s so much warmer maybe at least 3-4 degrees, even the walls feel warmer.  Thermilate is an incredible product”

By Miss T Fenwick Home Owner Louth, Thermilate Additive

"Thermilate was used in my kitchen, unbelievably as it says, it has actually helped prevent the condensation.  Thermilate was extremely easy to use and apply, I applied 2 coats with Thermilate, and 1 coat with no Thermilate mixed in the paint, for a perfectly smooth finish. Brilliant.  I also have a condensation problem in the bathroom, I just can’t wait to get painting in the bathroom too.

"Thank you for your wonderful product 'Thermilate'. It has certainly improved the insulation in our room!   Our house is 1920's and as such has little insulation and the north facing rooms especially suffered from condensation on the cold walls. After applying your product the room now feels much warmer and we have little or no condensation. I have no hesitation in recommending your product. Thank you!!"

"This is now the 2nd winter my 'Thermilated'  bathroom walls and ceiling are experiencing and I have waited until now to obtain an overall better idea of precisely whether the product worked for my circumstances or not. The bathroom has quite exposed outer walls and is north facing and this, together with the fact the radiator is neither use nor ornament ensures one does not linger - it is extremely cold. Black mould caused through the condensation has been the bane of my life for many years - until now that is.  The room is still bitterly cold and the walls constantly run with condensation but there has been virtually no mould forms. What little has started to form has been pale grey, which I have immediately wiped away with a cloth - and it is gone! So far, I have only had to wipe it twice in 2 years. I can only hope it now continues with the good work.
I am really more than pleased that I purchased the product. Many thanks for a truly valuable product."

"We have applied Thermilate to our walls and the difference is so marked that you can detect it by touch!  As a scientist, I know the difference strong enough to be detected by an instrument as insensitive as the human hand must therefore be a significant difference. We will use the Thermilate product where possible in the future and we will recommend it to others."

I bought some Thermilate from you quite a while ago and I would like to report on the results I had after using the product. I live in an old stone cottage in the Pennines, the sort with thick walls and mullion windows. The mullions consist of a slab of gritstone with a depth of about six inches. Because the stone mullion is both external and internal the inner surface is always cool. As a result, mainly in the bedrooms, condensation appears on the inner surface each morning and encourages the growth of moulds. I had been having problems with this for years with frequent redecoration needed. In spring 2002 I painted the inside of the mullions again, but this time I added Thermilate to the emulsion. The result is that after over one year of use, I have not touched the mullions and the growth of mould is almost negligible. It is definitely a success. My friend lives in Cork and had purchased a house that had some mould on part of the internal walls. Investigation showed that the problem was not caused by rising damp, but was due to the construction of the walls. It appears that many houses there are built with a single leaf of a large concrete blocks. External walls that have poor air circulation, such as behind cupboards, are prone to condensation and mould growth. Last year I gave my friend a packet of Thermilate and he painted it on the affected walls. To date he has had no recurrence of mould growth. Sorry it has taken so long to get this to you, but I wanted to be absolutely sure whether or not the stuff worked before I was prepared to comment on it. Many thanks for your help.

My house was too hot! I have southern exposure across the back and a low pitched roof. Even when the temperature is below freezing, if the sun is out, my living room could easily get up to 80 degrees, and 90 or more during the summer. Because I needed to repaint the room and ceiling, I put Thermilate in the paint. I figured at the very least, it didn't cost much and might help although frankly I was not optimistic. So it was a nice surprise to find the room was approximately 8 to 10 degrees cooler. And the difference in the rooms comfort level was amazing! Anyway, thank you, thank you, and thank you! I will write back when I get around to painting our basement which is way too cold and tell you how that works too! Thanks again

I received the package of Thermilate, which was used on my kitchen ceiling. The kitchen is 15ft x12ft x 9 ft high and previously had polystyrene tiles. Your product seems to do what it says, by reflecting the heat back into the kitchen. I have been monitoring the temperature and I would say that Thermilate has been a good solution to the removal of the polystyrene tiles. Thank you once more

E-mail testimonial from a customer Message: I love your product! I am so glad I found that I could purchase just this product rather than a premixed product. I had been doing that in the past and I prefer to mix it in my own paint.

By Jenne Helm Home Owner, Thermilate Additive

“I used the Thermilate powder in 2 locations but one was my rented-out house so cannot give feedback on thermal results. The second location was a very damp bathroom with a north facing wall. I spoke to the manager of Brewers in Tunbridge Wells where I have an account. We decided I should mix the powder with a water-based eggshell so that the surface could not absorb any moisture to grow mould in (a very mouldy bathroom,by the way). The ceiling had 2 coats and was 100% successful. The walls only got one coat and after about 1 year the mould is breaking through and I'm about to clean that off and put the second coat on. I am talking about an extreme environment here! Colour: Whilst the powder looks like it will affect the paint shade, it does not. If it does, it's by an infinitely small amount. Mixing: It mixed with the two types of paint I used very well and stays bound in the paint whilst you are using it. Application: The second coat is a bit hard going, feeling like a cross between painting and plastering but for most fit decorators, I doubt they would notice that much. The benefits far outweigh this though. I would use it in problem areas again but in future will be working on buildings where I can control the vapour permeabilty of the walls and so would be keen to hear from you if any work has been done on whether this type of paint/powder is vapour permeable or not.” Best wishes

Reference your survey on My purchase of your Thermilete product. I have over 40 years experience in Thermal Insulation applications including  Marine & Industrial painting (On and Offshore) UK and Overseas. At present I have been using your Thermilte powder additive to emulsion paint interior and exterior applications to Wall and Roof tile coating. Internally I have expereinced the benifit of this application and based on application from last winter here in the UK and find it  has positive rsults.. The instructions are simple.., add the contents to 5 Ltrs of paint and  apply coat 2 coats and then apply a final colour of your choce as an final encapulation. Its work's!! So I am pleased about this on my home project..I will also use your product on Marine Contracts that I am estimating on at present. The realality is  you can use your powder  addditive on any application where you require a simple Insulation application with minimum of skill. Regards

Like most insulating type products, better in some areas than others. I mixed it with masonry paint and painted a section of the outside of my house and it appears to be quite effective. Because of the granular nature of thermalite you have to be careful if you want a paint finish wall, for which I would recommend further coats of un-thermalite paint on top. A recommended use would be under lining paper before wallpapering externals walls; this appears to be very effective measure against cold walls, especially older solid type walls. Hope that helpful as feedback Best Regards

I purchased the Thermilate granules to use in my parents Holiday Chalet.  This is a cold enviroment in general. However, the walls no longer have the usual cold/damp feel to them they had before using the paint additive.  We found it very easy to use and it left a very nice finish to the walls & ceilings.  When the heating is turned on, the Chalet does warm up a lot faster.   We are going to use it on the exterior next year to increase the benefits. Kind regards

I purchased the paint additive. I used it in an area where there was always condensation and a little dampness. Needless to say the condensation and dampness has gone. The room appears warmer.  One thing I would say, that the additive makes the paint a little grainy, perhaps a way around this is needed.  Best Regards

By Shaffiq Mahmood Home Owner, Thermilate Additive

I used it on all the external wall in our house. It worked very well. We have a older house with brick walls - no cavity - so this was the most cost effective way to insulate. The walls are noticeably warmer. Thanks

By Brenda Home Owner Manchester, Thermilate Additive

Yes I bought the powder additive which I mixed with either dulux paint or crown pain which was to make the bedroom warmer and also to help us with cols pots in corners of the walls which was getting mould which have helped 80%, Its been used to paint our daughters bedroom as in her room it has thin wallpaper so we added this to it to bring the room up to temperature which worked fine. Regards

By J BOLDY Home Owner, Thermilate Additive

We used the paint in the back bedroom and also installed a ventilaion system in the attic and together they seem to have stopped the problem with black around the window and wall.

By Bev Rees Home Owner, Thermilate Additive

I used the product in my paint when redecorating my bedroom which had quite a bit of mould growth which was causing health issues. After treating the areas with a liquid mould killer, mould resistant primer and adding mould inhibitor to the paint, I also added the thermalite. The process was easy and the finish although slightly fibrous in appearance was fine, I have not had any mould growth since and the walls do appear to be staying a bit warmer.
I only have to replace the radiator as this was only aboutr a third of the recommended power and the room will to all intents and purposes be fine. Whne redecoratin g the rest of the flat I will probably use thrmealite in the paint to try and save monet with the insylating properties. The wall I treated were exterior NW facing walls which always seemed cold before. The room does seem more tolerable and also not as hot in the summer.
Would I recommend the product thermalite? Yes I would and actually have to friends and family. Thanks for what seems like a winner product. Kind regards

I would just like to leave my comments about an amazing product that does exactly what it says it says on the packet...INSULATES! I can't recommend it enough and it certainly deserves a 5 star rating.

By Trudy Cowx Home Owner Clare, Thermilate Additive

So far so good, does seem a bit warmer. It was very easy to use and worked wonders at covering up small cracks. Yes I do need some more please, which I guess sums up what I think. Regards,

Everything that was said about thermalite paint was indeed correct, i have found out that the product saved me up to 60% on my heating bills also the internal painted walls did indeed stop heat transfer to the outside i would indeed recommend your product to anyone.  best regards

By mick mullin Home Owner, Warmcoat

I used the product internally but only on outside walls of a house where it would have been expensive and difficult to do any other insulation. I used the powder in a tempera (velvet finish) paint which covers imperfections very well. The colours were strong colours. The powder was very easy to mix into the paint.
The powder didn't noticeably change the colour or the finish of the paint when dry. There is a noticable difference to the touch of the temperature of the wall and on one particularly cold wall it stopped a draft coming down the wall. Having said this it is hard to put any numbers to the temperature of the rooms where it has been applied or to any saving in money but I would say that the rooms are more comfortable and I have been showing the product off to friends. Regards

    By L. Taxis, Thermilate Additive

I used it on an old building with single skin stone walls which have always felt cold. I was pleased with the slightly textured finish I achieved on smooth walls. When I get round to decorating the other rooms I will be using Thermilate. I'm not sure whether it makes the room warmer. I also have a 1930s built house I am renovating  where I will use Thermilate. So far I have used the powder which I found easy to mix. I will be comparing your 'readymixed' paint on the bathroom with mixing the powder with a kitchen paint. Regads,

By Marion O'Shea Home Owner, Thermilate Additive

We purchased your thermilate paint additive because we have a spare bedroom that our granddaughter uses at weekends and even with central heating we have always found the room to be cold as it has two 'outside' walls.  We used your product on the two walls when we decorated and then papered over one of the  walls.  We have found that the wall that was papered over is warm to the touch but the wall we just painted is not as successful.  I have mentioned to my husband that if we have enough paper we are going to do the wall again.  We think your product is very good.  Our house was built in 1918 and we have now found a couple of damp patches downstairs in the dining room and we will be treating these areas this winter when we decorate. Yours sincerely

    Dear Sir or Madam.

Just a note to say thank you for a great product! We used Thermilate on the interior walls and ceilings of our new home. I have steel framed home and wanted to make sure there was no hosting on the walls from hear/cold transfer and that there was minimal loss of heat.

When we got our first gas bill for winter weather I was surprised. It was twice what my neighbours were. I knew my heat wasn't coming on very much and I shouldn't use that much gas. I called the heating contractor immediately. They didn't think that my bill was excessive for the size house I have. (It is 3, 850 Sq. Ft. in size) but with all I had done to be energy efficient 1 felt that my gas

bill was very high!. I also called the insulation people to see if we needed more insulation in the attic. The insulation contractor had me do a few tests, while we were waiting on the Heating and Air-conditioning contractor, to see if we had a lot of heat loss through the ceiling. We had 9" of snow the day before and it was 26 degrees outside so it was a good time to do this type of testing! I had a temperature difference of 8 degrees from the top of the insulation and the attic air temperature, which means I had very little heat loss through the ceiling. Next I checked the temperature difference inside the house between the sitting area and the ceiling. The average was 2 degrees. With ten-foot high ceilings there is usually a 10 deg. temperature difference between the floor and ceiling! . The Insulation contractor was stunned! I then proceeded to tell him about Thermilate and gave him your web address so that he could get more information! The Heating and Air conditioning people finally found the trouble with the heater, it was a bad computer board that was turning on the gas without the thermostat calling for heat so it was burning gas but the dampers didn't open for the heat to go into the house. When it was fixed my gas usage dropped to less than a third of what it was before!

The outside temperature was in the seventies yesterday and the house was 72 degrees inside when we went to bed. When we got up in the morning it was 44 degrees outside and when I checked the gas meter no gas had been used by the heater all night and the inside temperature was still 70 degrees. (Only a 2-degree overnight interior temperature drop!)

I strongly recommend the use of Thermilate for anyone who wants to maintain a comfortable home and who desires to reduce their energy expenses!

    Sincerely,

"Five years ago I contacted your co about my 80 sq yards wooden deck and even though I treated every year with xxxxxxxxxxxx, it was a total mess with the previous decking oil peeling off all over the place and clogging in the grooves. At the time Igoe recommended that I strip off all the remaining decking  oil with prepdeck and give it a good wash then with net-trol and later we applied two good coats of textrol. We did that and the deck has looked first class ever since with no peeling anywhere even through two extremely harsh winters the like of which I never saw before. I am now freshening it up with another coat of textrol to keep it looking good before it might start to deteriorate. I wouldn't use anything else now, because, even though its a bit more expensive than the others, I still saved the cost of four applications and more to the point, textrol saved me a lot of hard work."
