Insulating Paint Additive,Cuts Heat Loss, Stops Mould

Thermilate Insulating Paint Additive Reduces Heat Loss in Your Home or Property through INTERNAL, EXTERNAL WALLS  CEILINGS

Having been featured on several TV programmes such as BBC'S TOMORROW'S WORLD, Changing Room, THERMILATE, the revolutionary, durable paint additive that makes paint insulate is now available to home owners, maintenance  painting contractors.

This very practical product can be added to virtually any kind of paint… from interior emulsion, exterior masonry paint, gloss paint on steel, you name it. In all cases, it will reduce heat loss out through the substrate.

AND… it also works the other way around, if you wanted to keep heat inside pipes, hot water tank etc, the Thermilate additive reduces heat loss when 2 or 3 coats of treated paint are applied to the pipe etc.The two images on the right aboveshows Thermilate used in oil based paint on inside of a steel barge to stop / reduce condensation on the steel walls.

Steel Roof Condensation

Another handy application we have been told about which gets excellent results was where condensation occurs on underside of a steel roof, also known as steel roof condensation such as commonly found on corrugated steel, sheds / workshops, steel containers  so on. In this scenario, the handiest option is add the Thermilate to any appropriate paint and apply a coat or better still two coats.

Idea is to apply 2 or 3 coats of any oil based paint with one bottle of Thermilate per 5 Litres of paint.

MAIN BENEFITS

Saves on heating bills because less heat / energy will be required for the same results.

Reduces or eliminates mould on 'cold walls' etc

Helps reduce condensation / damp wall problems

“I have a bedroom that can be quite cold and condensation is a problem on the walls. I repainted the walls with emulsion that had Thermilate in it last March and no mould or mildew has reappeared since. I also found that the room was a lot more cosy. Thermilate works, no doubt about it”

"I first purchased Thermilate for my son’s house. He lives in Deeside Aboyne a very cold part of the country, his heating costs were very high, and his house was always cold. We applied 2 coats on the inside of the house, to all his external walls. His house is now unbelievably so much warmer, superbly more comfortable, Thermilate has helped with energy saving, and of course cost saving. Once we saw the benefits of Thermilate, we purchased more Thermilate to use in my daughters house – attic, as she can’t have any insulation there. The wall actually felt amazingly warmer just a couple of days later.......... previously there was a definite chill in the attic, and now it is actually warmer. I found that the Thermilate also made the paint go further......We are all very very impressed with the product, it really is amazing."

"Like most insulating type products, better in some areas than others. I mixed it with masonry paint and painted a section of the outside of my house and it appears to be quite effective. Because of the granular nature of thermalite you have to be careful if you want a paint finish wall, for which I would recommend further coats of un-thermalite paint on top. A recommended use would be under lining paper before wallpapering externals walls; this appears to be very effective measure against cold walls, especially older solid type walls."

"I am just a regular homeowner of a 1901 late Victorian. In the stairway going to the finished attic, there is not enough headroom for any kind of insulation. I gave the ceiling and walls 2 coats of paint with Thermilate, and the difference is really phenomenal. Thanks for making such a useful and affordable product. I've ordered 5 more containers and can't wait to start painting more!"

"Just a note to say thank you for a great product! We used Thermilate on the interior walls and ceilings of our new home. I have steel framed home and wanted to make sure there was no hosting on the walls from hear/cold transfer and that there was minimal loss of heat.

When we got our first gas bill for winter weather I was surprised. It was twice what my neighbours were. I knew my heat wasn't coming on very much and I shouldn't use that much gas. I called the heating contractor immediately. They didn't think that my bill was excessive for the size house I have. (It is 3, 850 Sq. Ft. in size) but with all I had done to be energy efficient 1 felt that my gas

bill was very high!. I also called the insulation people to see if we needed more insulation in the attic. The insulation contractor had me do a few tests, while we were waiting on the Heating and Air-conditioning contractor, to see if we had a lot of heat loss through the ceiling. We had 9" of snow the day before and it was 26 degrees outside so it was a good time to do this type of testing! I had a temperature difference of 8 degrees from the top of the insulation and the attic air temperature, which means I had very little heat loss through the ceiling. Next I checked the temperature difference inside the house between the sitting area and the ceiling. The average was 2 degrees. With ten-foot high ceilings there is usually a 10 deg. temperature difference between the floor and ceiling! . The Insulation contractor was stunned! I then proceeded to tell him about Thermilate and gave him your web address so that he could get more information! The Heating and Air conditioning people finally found the trouble with the heater, it was a bad computer board that was turning on the gas without the thermostat calling for heat so it was burning gas but the dampers didn't open for the heat to go into the house. When it was fixed my gas usage dropped to less than a third of what it was before!

The outside temperature was in the seventies yesterday and the house was 72 degrees inside when we went to bed. When we got up in the morning it was 44 degrees outside and when I checked the gas meter no gas had been used by the heater all night and the inside temperature was still 70 degrees. (Only a 2-degree overnight interior temperature drop!)

I strongly recommend the use of Thermilate for anyone who wants to maintain a comfortable home and who desires to reduce their energy expenses!"
